After a nice winter break, I am so excited to get our after school choir up and running again! This choir is for all interested students 3rd grade and up. Now is a great time to join choir as we begin new songs for the spring! We meet Monday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30 in the multi-purpose room. We will meet every Monday that there is school. The choir will perform twice in the spring, for Music Festival and a spring concert. It is possible that other performances might pop up. Students who wish to participate should come to our first rehearsal for on Monday, January 13th.
All students who attend choir will be expected to be on their best behavior. All students who are in the multipurpose room after school will be expected to sing with the choir. Choir ends at 4:30, all students must be picked up no later than 4:45. I’m looking forward to making great music with your kiddos!

From Mr. Mendive:
"Dear PCCS families,
It is with deep sadness that I share some heartbreaking news. Our beloved staff lunch lady, Ms. Mandy, has unexpectedly passed away. Mandy was a cherished part of our school family, known by every student...
Mandy has been a stalwart on our PTO for as long as I can remember. She has been a very active parent to one graduate and one current PCCS student. Mandy was also a best friend to many of our faculty. Thus, we have had so many staff request time off to attend the services on Thursday, and we feel very much obliged to honor each request, we will be cancelling school on Thursday, November 7th. I do understand that this creates a significant inconvenience for many of you, but we hope that you will understand the importance for our crew. "

PCCS Week ahead
Not a lot of extras happening this week. Middle School students will be gone for the week learning and exploring at Henry's Place in Utah.
Coming next week:
On Monday, November 11th, we will celebrate Veterans Day at 2:30 PM in the gym. We have loved this ceremony each year as we learn what Veterans Day is all about and honor our very own community members who have served our country. The students are invited to fill out spotlight forms about Veterans they know and love, to be hung in the halls at school. These can be found on the visitor check in desk outside the front office. They can be filled out, colored and turned in any time between now and Veterans Day. (Please turn in to crew leaders, or the front office to be placed in Mrs. Barlow's mail box.) Also, each family is encouraged to invite one Veteran who is close to them (Family member, neighbor, etc....) to attend. We will present them with a token of our appreciation. Parents, please come too! We look forward to seeing you all there!

Lunch Menu for November.
Remember, each week, the cutoff to order for the next week, is by Friday at 10 AM.
Middle School Parents: remember to NOT order lunches for the week of the Henry's Place Trip. (Nov. 4th-8th)

PCCS adventures ahead this week!
🗓We will have regular school Monday through Wednesday (Wednesday is still a half day). And no school Thursday and Friday to allow time for conferences.
🏫All students (all grades) must be in dress uniform for conferences. Dress uniform is a navy blue polo with the school logo embroidered on it, along with khaki pants/skirts.
🏀Wish our girls basketball teams good luck as they play two games this week. One of them with our cross-town rival, Alpine!
📚Come shop our Book Fair! Open during conferences (for times we have volunteers for..... check to see if there's a time YOU can volunteer! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090B4EA4A823A0FD0-44591057-pccs#/ )
🎃Have a great week!

Lots of stuff happening this week!
Spirit Week is here. We love an opportunity to celebrate our school spirit!
Among other spirit building activities throughout the week, we have themed dress up days as well as a drive for the Critters. Crews are collecting pet supplies as well as pennies to help sponsor adoptions at the animal shelter.
Also! Conferences are next week, don't forget to sign up for a time!

Don't forget! Spirit week kicks off tomorrow! Monday's theme is to dress like a celebrity. We can't wait to see!

Adventures ahead this week at PCCS!
If you are a parent of a 1st or 2nd grader, you don't want to miss Parent Orientation Wednesday evening at 6:30. The best way to know what will be happening with your child's crew is to be there! Very important info will be covered.
Spirit Day is Thursday. Students may wear a school spirit top with their uniform bottoms. Spirit tops would include shirts with PCCS logos screen printed, school sport shirt, run-a-thon shirts, etc.

This is happening tonight! If you're interested in scouting, you want to be there! From Marjanna Hulet: "SCOUT ME IN! The PCCS Scouting groups are holding a recruiting event Thursday, Oct 10 at 7 pm at PCCS. This is for girls and boys ages 11-18 who love the outdoors and adventure! We have trained, experienced scout leaders who love working with kids. At our event we will have information for adults, along with a fun, scout-based scavenger hunt for the kids. (The scavenger hunt will begin at about 7:15 and last about 45 minutes). Come find out more about the scouting opportunities PCCS has to offer. "
