Hello PCCS Families!

Our February Parenting Workshop is tomorrow, 2/3 at 6:30pm in the PCCS Library and on Google Meets! The topic of this month's workshoop is: Big Feelings, Strong Skills: Builiding Resilience & Frustration Tolerance. In this workshop, parents will learn practical, realistic strategies to help children manage frustration, handle disappointment, and build resilience when things feel hard. We'll focus on understanding what's happening in a child's brain during big emotions and how adult responses can either support or unintentionally escalate frustration. Parents will leave with tools to:

  • Respond calmly and confidently during meltdowns or power struggles

  • Help children tolerate frustration without immediately fixing the problem

  • Use languate that builds emotional regulation and perseverance

  • Set clear, supportive limits while validating feelings

  • Teach coping skills children can use when they feel overwhelmed

  • Support resilience, independence, and problem-solving over time

This session is supportive, practical, and judgment-free, with strategies parents can start usingin right away at home.

The following workshops will be on the 1st Tuesday of each month at the same time. Each workshop will also be held via Google Meets so families can attend virtually, and we can record them for future reference.
