Outward Bound is rooted in service.  Kurt Hahn, the founder of Outward Bound, considered compassion to be the most important quality of all to keep alive in individuals and in the world at large.  As an Expeditionary Learning school, we understand the connection between character and service. Indeed, our commitment to service is one thing that sets us apart from other learning communities.  Service learning offers a form of education that brings out the best in people, and the fact that there is selflessness involved gives it both power and purpose.

CREW SERVICE PROJECTS

All PCCS students will participate in a service project(s) with their crews.  These projects will be designed and implemented by the Crew Leader.  Crew service projects will be displayed at the annual service fair.

INDIVIDUAL SERVICE PROJECTS

Students also have the opportunity to conduct an individual service project and present it at the annual service fair.  Please refer to the forms attached below.
